League Gymnastics

What is League Gymnastics?

The philosophy at Spokane Elite Gymnastics is to offer an exceptional experience for every child; from preschoolers learning the fundamentals, to "playground heroes" showing off cartwheels at recess, to elite competitive gymnasts. With that goal in mind we are excited to once again offer a program that allows recreational gymnasts the opportunity to experience competitive gymnastics and be a part of a team.

With League Gymnastics, Spokane Elite Gymnastics offers three in-house meets where gymnasts learn routines and perform on all Olympic events (Boys: Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and High Bar; Girls: Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor Exercise). For the 2010 season these meets will be the third Saturday in January, February and March. Gymnasts enrolled in a level 2&3 class or higher are eligible to participate in League Gymnastics. Gymnasts will be assigned to one of two teams and perform individually, receiving a score for each event and the total of those scores compile the team overall score. Since the teams compete as a group, and are not ranked as individuals, this helps remove most of the jitters and League Gymnastics offers an encouraging and positive experience for all who participate.

Gymnasts who take part in League Gymnastics will learn their routines during regular classes plus we will offer an optional weekly practice on Fridays from 5:00pm 6:00pm (beginning Januar8 9, 2010) coached by a rotation of Spokane Elite Gymnastics intermediate level instructors. Each additional practice costs $9.00 and does not require pre-registration.
