Rachel Cochrane

Born in Spokane, Rachel grew up in Edmonds, Washington and worked for Seattle Gymnastics Academy from 1997 through 2003 as a registrar, gymnastics and dance instructor.  She has been doing dance since she was three and Artistic and Rhythmic gymnastics sporadically from the ages three through twelve.  

Rachel was on Edmonds Woodway High School Dance/Drill Team for two years and captain her senior year.  In 2001 – 2003 she attended Edmonds Community College and focused on Early Childhood Education.  She worked as a preschool teacher in Shoreline, Washington and Rachel's passion is preschool age children. She enjoys helping children develop life skills in addition to learning gymnastics and dance techniques.

Since moving back to Spokane in 2008, Rachel also teaches dance for children and teens at Julie's Competitive Edge Dance Academy and works with competitive and performing dance groups.  In the past, the competitive groups that Rachel has instructed have won numerous high score, choreography and entertainment awards.

When she is not busy raising her highly energetic 2nd grade daughter Alexa, who is already a very successful competitive dancer, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends and is open to the possibility of meeting Mr. Right ;)
