Dmitry

Coach

Dmitry was born in Zaporozhye, Ukraine and moved to the United States when he was almost two. He is fluent in both Russian and English, and is comprehensive in Ukrainian.

Dmitry is very athletic and enjoys all outdoor activities including camping, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and snow boarding. In 2004 Dmitry was the Vice President of WildTech (Wilderness Technology Alliance) where he taught the local elderly basic computer skills. Through WildTech Dmitry had the opportunity to teach children’s rock climbing classes for almost two years.

Coach Dmitry is very eager to learn and enjoys working with children. He is self taught with tumbling, and has progressed dramatically in gymnastics within the past several years.  The staff were so impressed with Dmitry when he came to Spokane Elite Gymnastics in February of 2008 to inquire about using the facility to teach himself more gymnastics skills, that the management team pursued hiring Dmitry. He is very motivated and always makes himself available to help and shows up with a smile.

Actively break-dancing with the “Paper Cutout Crew” PCC, Dmitry has redeemed himself from a less than stellar performance on the national television show “So You Think You Can Dance?” and now, actually can :)
