Katie Verkovod

Originally from Kyrgyzstan, Katie moved with her family to the United States when she was three years old. Katie graduated from Cheney High School and is currently attending Eastern Washington University where she is majoring in Spanish and Recreational Management.

A gymnast since nine-years-old, Katie did gymnastics at local gyms including Spokane Elite Gymnastics where she rose to become a Level 6 and was on pre-team.

Katie loves coaching preschoolers and those just beginning in gymnastics. Her goal is to motivate and inspire the students to achieve their goals by challenging them to perfect the skills they have already mastered and introducing something new each class. Katie's favorite events to teach are floor and bars because they are challenging but the rewards for helping students overcome their fears and then succeed is infinitely rewarding.

Katie enjoys spending time with friends, reading, rock climbing, running, travel and experiencing new things.
